Siddhi Karnani: Profile, Family and Boyfriend
Siddhi Karnani
stole the limelight when the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi told
the nation about her innovative works in one of his Man Ki Baat program. The
Prime Minister chooses to name her to motivate Indians, particularly women,
that if there is determination coupled with dedication then there can’t be any
glass ceiling effect even in the world of farming. The most important part is
her decision to start contract organic farming in the North Eastern Region of
India, mainly focusing on Sikkim.
She was studying
in IIM – Ahmedabad and the school had planned a sort of Shodh Yatra under the
guidance of Professor Anil Gupta. Few students were chosen and the team went to
Sikkim to understand the potential of the state. Siddhi was shocked to see the
prevailing misery there. It was even more staggering for her to see that almost
all of Sikkim people she met were quite happy with the life. They were poor,
yet happy. She made a report and returned with the team.

She decided to
do something for those really happy people. She decided to help them and in the
process to help India. She discussed her plan with Professor Anil Gupta who got
excited about the idea. Anurag Agarwal, another IIM – Ahmedabad batchmate of
Siddhi was with her. In the end, these two made a concrete plan and start
Parvata Foods Pvt. Ltd. IIM – A did help them. During the campus placement,
Siddhi being one of the brightest student of the batch, got big offers from
MNCs. She rejected the offer and decided to purusue her passion with Anurag.
They are now
quite successful and the Prime Minister mentioning about her shows how far they
have traveled.
Profile of Siddhi Karnani
As the name
indicates, Siddhi is a Sindhi girl. She has always been a bright student. In
fact, it is not possible to write about all of accolades and awards she has
won.
Suffice to say,
Siddhi did schooling from St. Thomas Church School. She was the school
topper. After that, she did B.Com from
Shri Shikshayatan College. Needless to say, she was throughout topper from this
college, also. What after, B.Com? It should be an MBA degree or CA. Siddhi went
for CA and completed it in 2008.
Siddhi cleared
CAT with flying colors and had offers from all IIMs, yes from all IIMs. She
went for IIM – A, the best among lot. She took admission in PGP – ABM in 2011
and got the second rank in the batch. She was recognized and was awarded in all
three categories – Entrepreneurship, extra-curricular activities and academics.
That was really a very rare combination.
She is currently
working hard to change the lives of North Eastern Indians. She hopes to make
organic farming a sort of movement throughout India. The mention by the
maverick PM should give her enough weapon to do something really big.
Boyfriend of Siddhi Karnani
There is no
denying that Siddhi is currently dating a guy. And, who can that be? He is the
co-founder of Parvata Foods and her strongest supporter – Anurag Agarwal. They
are expected to marry soon, once Parvata Foods established its foots strongly.

Having known Siddhi personally, I would like to mention that there are quite some errors in the article.
ReplyDeleteI am correcting the major ones:
1) She is a Marwari - Maheshwari and not Sindhi
2) Being born in 1990, she had cleared her class 12th in 2008 and not CA.
She cleared her CA Inter (PCC) in 2010. And then she went on to do her MBA from IIM-A (2011-13).
Also, she had not received calls from all the IIMs but from a few of the renowned institutes.
3) Mr. Anurag Agarwal is her batch mate at IIM-A & co-founder of Parvata Foods and not her boyfriend.
4) Her main business is processing and marketing of organic produce from North East and not contract farming.
Siddhi jarmani lives in my area and I know her as she is my sister's friend's younger sister and quite proud to get to know about her accomplishment and how far she has transversed in her life
