Rishabh Pant is
a promising and rising young cricketer of India. Basically, he belongs to
Haridwar, Uttarakhand, but plays for Delhi in Ranji Trophy. He is just 19 years
old, but has shown striking performances in all forms of cricket. He is a
wicket keeper batsman. His performance in IPL 2016 is simply scintillating, though he didn't get sufficient opportunity.

As mentioned
above, Rishav is from Uttarakhand. His father Rajendra Pant was shifted to
Delhi in 2005 and he came here along with family. He has done schooling from
Delhi.
Rishabh was born
on 4th October, 1997 in Haridwar, which is his ancestral home.
The initial
schooling of Rishabh was from Haridwar. It was his cricket which compelled his
father to get shifted to Delhi. Actually, while being on a tour for Rajasthan
Cricket, Rishabh heard about one of the greatest cricket coaches of India, Mr.
Tarak Sinha. He convinced his family to get shifted to Delhi, just for the sake
of his cricketing career. His father, Rajendra Pant, was already aware of
Rishabh’s cricketing ability and hence he bowed to his suggestions.
Rishabh came to
Delhi and convinced Tarak Sinha to coach him. Tarak saw his wicket keeping
ability. However, he also wanted him to transform him into an explosive
batsman. The time has changed in the world of Cricket and currently only wicket
keeper who can also bat is considered for selection at the International level.
Tarak let him see hundreds of videos of Adam Gilchrist. He meticulously trained
Rishabh to become an explosive wicket keeper batsman. He has also played in Rajasthan when the Congress politics of C. P. Joshi blocked his chances. Here is what Sanjay Dixit, IAS and former President of Rajasthan Cricket Association has to say about him:

After playing
for clubs, Rishabh drew the lime light. And, the reason was his explosive
batting style. In no time, he was selected for Delhi Ranji Team and here also
he has shown his caliber.
Rahul Dravid
couldn’t ignore him and recommended Rishabh for U-19 Indian World Cup squad led
by maverick Bihari Bhumihar boy Ishan Kishan. Here also, Rishabh is showing his
potential. In a match against Nepal, he scored scintillating 78 off only 28
deliveries.
